5 months agoI am going to mention a speculative situation today rather than something with investment credentials . The reason for this is that the stock keeps triggering alerts and making bullish noises on my screens and systems so I don’t feel I can ignore it
Gerresheimer Ag GXI GR Is a German manufacturer of packaging products for medication and drug delivery devices, which it make from a special-purpose glass and plastics for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
The stock has had a tough time of it lately down by -61.0% year to date versus +22.0% gains for the broader Dax 40 and +18.13% gain for the Midcap Dax index .
However, I get sense that the the worm is turning, if you look at the left hand image you can see the daily performance of the GXI share price, dating back to mid November. And their have been more up days than down in that period.
And in the last couple of days the stock has added +8.0% (as of 11.25 am London time 12-12-2025).
Thematically it seems to me that this is just the type of stock that might attraction of private equity, or an activist investor looking to unearth shareholder value. Even without those eternal influences materialising, a dose of mean reversion / short covering could well drive the share price higher from here.
The position of GXI on my Broad Europe Smile ( image 3) tells me that there is underlying demand for the stock, the higher to the right the better as far as this chart’s concerned. Definitely one too watch closely from here.
