I’ve recently noticed a post called Pacific Peak Capital Partners Ltd (clone scam). At first I thought it was exposing a scam but the truth is actually far more sinister.
The post itself looks all righteous and upstanding but it’s actually a phishing trap and people have already been scammed. Apparently three people got private messages from helpful folks in the comments section, then got pulled into a so-called mining project and ended up losing a whopping £1.2 million. Someone’s already reported it to the police, they’ve traced the poster’s IP to India and the authorities are now involved.
So just a heads up: if you’ve left a comment under that post don’t reply to any random DMs and don’t click any links or accept any group invitations from strangers.
This scam’s particularly clever because it plays on people’s desire to find out the truth but it’s actually a more sophisticated deep fraud.

If you haven’t been scammed you’re lucky but sharing this information is our responsibility. If any of your mates have seen that post give them a warning too so they don’t fall for it.

I’m familiar with this con. They make posts to attract attention then set up a community to recommend dodgy investments
So many similar scams around these days. I spotted one that was pretty much the same. Guy posted about bent coppers seizing cryptocurrency, racked up tens of thousands of followers within weeks then promoted completely bogus projects
