5 days, 4 hours agoI had a great chat about how put options can be likened to purchasing insurance with Alec Beasley, Co-founder and CEO at Investa, whilst we were discussing their win of “Best Options Trading App” in the Good Money Guide Awards.

3 months, 2 weeks agoIs oil the most misunderstood sector right now?
While tech dominates headlines, oil companies still generate a huge chunk of global profits and government revenues.

Richard Berry started the topic Where Will The PayPal Stock Price Be in 1 Year? in the forum US Stocks
3 months, 3 weeks agoI’d be interested in your predictions for the Paypal share price in a year? The PYPL share price has just been hit based on slowing growth and the CEO leaving. I can absolutely see how Paypal is becoming a relic in the world of online payments. It’s clunky, expensive for businesses, and individuals receiving payments (2.5%), and it’s FX rates are…[Read more]

Richard Berry started the topic How high will the S&P get this year? in the forum Indices
4 months agoI’ve recently become a little bit obsessed with prediction markets. Yes I know they are just the US equivalent of binary options. But the US have been quick to regulate them as opposed to the FCA, which refused to touch them, meaning the industry was flooded with crooks. But anyway, there has got to be a good arb here somewhere. Any thoughts on…[Read more]

Richard Berry replied to the topic Has Silver finally found its voice? in the forum Commodities
4 months, 1 week agoThe Gold Versus Silver ratio is at its lowest in 10 years, based on the fact that Silver is largely correlated to gold – albeit much more volatile. Is there an argument for buying into this as a pairs trade?

Richard Berry started the topic Can any other index beat the US stock markets in 2026? in the forum Indices
4 months, 1 week ago43% of investors surveyed by CMC Markets expect the US to be the strongest-performing market in 2026, comfortably ahead of the Far East ex-Japan (26%) and Japan (11%). Europe has just 10% backing continental markets to outperform.
Sentiment towards the UK market is looking pretty bruised. On a scale of one to ten, investors rated the UK’s 2026 t…[Read more]

4 months, 2 weeks agoI honestly can’t see Aston Martin shares ever improving – if I wanted to lose money on AML, I’d buy one of their new cars instead.

Richard Berry replied to the topic Why are investors excited about The Smarter Web Company shares? in the forum UK Shares
4 months, 3 weeks agoA reader sent this question through the Good Money Guide but as all analysis has moved to Invesdaq I’ve added it here instead:
I am very impressed with Andrew Webbly but, Is your view still the same (very risky) that you would not recommend investing in The Smarter Web Company as written by Ed Sheldon on 24th June 2025
I feel I would?

6 months agoAnother case of market manipulation and a good example of how stocks can be pumped through advertising on Google Ads, when people search for top penny stocks. A Google verified advertiser, based in the Caymans, is pushing traffic to webpages suggesting Quantum Data Energy PLC (LON: MAST), previously know as Mast Energy Developments PLC.
