3 months, 1 week agoFrom a Covid Winner to the most shorted stock in S&P
One recent news caught my attention. Moderna (MRNA), the covid vaccine maker, is currently the most shorted stock in the S&P.
Its stock price, naturally, is under immense pressure; and hit new 52-week lows last week.

3 months, 1 week agoWhere’s the support for Bitcoin?
The past month or so was utterly dismal for the king of crypto assets. Prices have literally crashed through one support after another.
At $83K, there is a big floor on the chart still to be tested. That’s the April low of $74.5.
Why is this level important? Because that’s the previous peak of the 2023-…[Read more]

3 months, 2 weeks agoMany good points made by Sheldon and Darren.
Will FTSE 100 hit 10,000? Chances are high – but not 100 percent – that the UK large-cap index will hit that five-digit mark sometime next year.
The more important question, though, is this: Will it stay there?
Chartwise, the index is in a strong position. The upside breakout this year is the first…[Read more]

3 months, 2 weeks agoBoE to cut rates as inflation drops. Will this boost FTSE 100?

This figure, whilst still above the central bank’s 2 percent target, may bring a dose of relief to the Treasury. Chances of a rate cut next month are now quite likely.
25 basis points is the e…[Read more]

3 months, 2 weeks agoIs Strategy’s (NASD: MSTR) decline overdone?
Since prices peaked at $450 in July this year, Strategy’s shares have collapsed by a whopping 55 percent. Last week, the Bitcoin-focussed company even slipped beneath the key psychological $200 support.
Coinciding with Strategy’s persistent decline was the rumour that the firm is starting to dump i…[Read more]

Jackson Wong replied to the topic Will Lloyds Shares Reach £1 in 2025? in the forum UK Shares
3 months, 2 weeks agoFor all practical purposes, Lloyds’ share price has “reached” £1 this year.
A quick glance at its daily share price shows intra-day peaks this week of 96p (95.86p to be exact). Yes, we may not have traded at £1, but that’s close enough – close enough for many profit takers to slam in sell orders on the last trading day of the week (Friday 14 N…[Read more]
