3 months, 2 weeks agoAnother good day for Plus500 shareholders as UK broker Cavendish rate the stock a buy, following upgraded guidance from the business. Which pointed to increasing revenues from its non-OTC activities. Which Plus500 called ” a key growth driver”. And which is said was “supported by positive momentum across global financial markets, as well as…[Read more]

There has got to be a really awesome 4 way trade there, I’d be a buyer Plus500, based on their sports sponsorship and them being one of the first to enter prediction markets in the UK. Not sure about eToro, I can’t help but feel they have peaked, but have a massive client base so I wouldn’t write them off – IG and CMC – overall long in the long run…

Edward Sheldon replied to the topic Thoughts on Filtronic in the forum UK Shares
3 months, 2 weeks agoI think this UK stock has a lot of potential. Because the company serves two high-growth markets – space and defence.
On the space side, the company is winning huge deals with SpaceX. Last year, for example, it landed a contract with the space firm worth $62.5 million. This is to provide gallium nitride (GaN) E-band products (chips designed to p…[Read more]

3 months, 2 weeks agoIts been a difficult couple of days for equity investors, particularly if you are exposed to technology stocks and given the weighting of the Mag 7, on a global basis, that’s pretty much everybody.
In times like this I find it useful to look at things from a top down perspective, tables like those shown below are helpful in this…[Read more]

3 months, 2 weeks agoTwo days ago I suggested that Unilever ULVR LN (or UNA NA), might benefit from the strength in US Consumer Staples.
see https://invesdaq.com/members/fatdaz/activity/515/.
The chart below shows the percentage change in both listings of Unilever, over two days.
And by my math they are up +4.0% that may not sound much but its more than…[Read more]

Darren Sinden replied to the topic Where Will The PayPal Stock Price Be in 1 Year? in the forum US Stocks
3 months, 3 weeks agoI think the 5-year chart of PayPal Holdings tells you what you need to know about the stock and its prospects.
Back in July 2021 they were trading around $311.00 per share. Yesterday they closed at $41.70, down by -20.31% the biggest one day fall in the name for 4-years, as the company missed Wall Street’s forecast for Q4 2025 earnings, and…[Read more]

3 months, 3 weeks agoI used to own this stock. Luckily, I got out around 80 bucks.
Looking ahead, it’s hard to know where it goes from here.
The stock does look cheap after its recent fall. Non-GAAP earnings per share (EPS) for 2025 came in at $5.31, so the trailing price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio is only about eight right now.
But it’s hard to see the stock get…[Read more]

3 months, 3 weeks agoThe last few weeks have been a wild ride, driven by a changeable macro background and extreme volatility within precious metals.
However the S&P 500 Consumer Staples sector has been rallying in the background ,the whole time.
In fact, it’s up +9.39% over 1 month and by + 11.30% over 3 months
Not a bad return from stocks which are…[Read more]

3 months, 3 weeks agoI talked about the spike in US Nat Gas prices last week, and I explained that artic weather across the North and mid-West US was a large contributing factor to that spike.
We can that relationship in operation today.

“It will be interesting to see if the sell off continues this afternoon, and or into next week, or whether the structural issues in the market , and end user demand, support the silver price. For now as we can see in the chart below the path of least resistance remains to the downside.”

Edward Sheldon replied to the topic How high will the S&P get this year? in the forum Indices
3 months, 4 weeks agoThere are lots of reasons to be bullish on the S&P 500 index right now.
For a start, the tech companies at the top of the index look poised for another year of strong growth. Nvidia, for example, is expected to see 54% revenue growth over the next year.
Secondly, the index is broadening out. Today, the S&P 500 is no longer only about tech – l…[Read more]
