10 hours, 33 minutes agoIs Bitcoin slipping into a ‘Crypto Winter’?
Both gold – digital and real – have fared badly over the past week.
As gold crashed from $5,600 to $4,600 in a matter of hours, Bitcoin took its time. Still, the direction of its travel recently mirrors that of the precious metals: Down.
On Wednesday, Bitcoin slumped to its lowest level since lat…[Read more]

Jackson Wong replied to the topic Where Will The PayPal Stock Price Be in 1 Year? in the forum US Stocks
1 day, 9 hours agoPayPal’s demerger from Ebay as a standalone company in 2015 was frequently lauded as a success.
Indeed, prices rose 8-10x a few years after PYPL’s listing, with the pandemic accelerating its price growth.
But the world of technology has changed markedly over the past years. Now, you can pay a large chunk of goods with Apple Pay with a quick swi…[Read more]

The power of AI is hitting the corporate world.
Just this week, many previously stable large-cap data, analytics and software-related business (eg RELX, LSEG, SAP) were hammered into long-term lows. The fear is that generative-AI is expected to take future profits away from these tech firms.…[Read more]

While gold and silver prices are melting down, one commodity extends its record-breaking rally on Monday. That’s Tungsten.
The industrial metal is a grayish-white element, labelled under ‘W’ in the periodic table. “Wolfram” is Tungsten’s former name.

The power of AI is now impacting many companies’ share prices.
One such stock is the multi-billion publishing and analytics company Relx (ticker: REL), a component of the prestigious FTSE 100.

If you had dabbled in any electronic gadgets before, you’d most likely come across a little memory card labelled “SanDisk”. The company produces premium products in the flash storage category.
In mid- to high-level digital cameras, for example, that tiny SanDisk card is used to store precious digital pictu…[Read more]

1 week, 1 day agoUS Dollar slumps against major currencies
Financial markets are always full of surprises. Many old timers will attest to this.
“Thirty years ago,” wrote Buffett in 1994,” no one could have foreseen the huge expansion of the Vietnam War, wage and price controls, two oil shocks, the resignation of a president, the dissolution of the Soviet Union…[Read more]

The fact that gold has zoomed past $5,000 without hesitation is telling.
Investors are extremely worried about recent geopolitical developments; and are scrambling to hedge their portfolios with hard assets. Gold, silver, platinum are premium assets that investors preferred to hold in the Age of…[Read more]

Tin is one of oldest metals around. The element (symbol Sn) was used by humans as early as 5,000 years ago, and was found in ancient Egyptian tombs. These days, tin is used in various industrial products, from solders to coating to cans.

2 weeks, 6 days agoBeware of overstretched uptrends
In the realm of investing, what’s the difference between Buffett and the rest? The answer is straightforward. He does things differently.

Jackson Wong replied to the topic Why has the eToro share price done so bady? in the forum US Stocks
3 weeks agoMany good points by Ed and Darren above.
I just add another point. Many of these newly-listed brokers tend to go through a ‘Boom-Bust’ cycle, where prices slump by 80-90 percent following their IPOs.
For example:
Coinbase (COIN) – $400 to $40 (-90%)
Robinhood (HOOD) – $80 to $8 (-90%)
WeBull (BULL) – $70 to $8 (-89%)et cetera.

3 weeks, 1 day agoWhen silver is on a roll, it is best to stay out of its way.
The metal has a habit of churning around aimlessly for a long time until prices march resolutely northwards.
