1 month, 1 week agoTime to buy Chinese stocks?
While trade war remains a sticky topic for the Sino-US relation, on both sides of the Pacific their respective stock markets are on a bull run.
On Wall Street, animal spirits are riding high. Generous valuations are heaped on AI, crypto and a wide swathe of stocks. Key US equity indices are near record highs. In…[Read more]

1 month, 1 week agoThis graphic took my eye (see below) as it looks at possible power shortages, arising from the near insatiable demand of data centres.
And of course this feeds back into the story about copper from earlier this morning.
In this instance, if the data is correct, there is an expected shortfall between power demanded and that available, near…[Read more]

1 month, 1 week agoThe FT writes today on structural challenges in the copper market that are driven by increasing demand from data centres and electrification, and a paucity of future supplies, particularly at scale,
its quite a lengthy piece but worth seeking out by searching ” The hunt for copper to wire the AI boom”.
This quote is typical of the tone of…[Read more]

1 month, 1 week agoDo you recall this post on Airtel Africa AAF LN https://invesdaq.com/activity/p/204
the stock is trading in between support and resistance and right now we are testing at the resistance around 318p.
A clean and sustained break/close above 320p would provide sustenance for the bulls so watch this space as they say.Reacted by Invesdaq -

1 month, 1 week agoI cant help but notice that another of the German midcap stocks I mentioned on Monday, has been moving well today.
Engineer Thyssen Krupp AG TKA GR has added +6.00% in the session.
What’s more the gains have been incremental across the day, following a gap higher on the open .
Right place, right time, right thinking it seems.

1 month, 1 week agoA few days ago, I highlighted the gentle, but firm, recovery in silver.
That rally has now intensified.
At the time of writing this morning, the metal has surged to its highest nominal price ever.
An upside breakout last Friday was quickly followed another leap today. The metal is currently changing hands above $57.50 (see below).

1 month, 1 week agoThe deputy CEO and CIO of French asset manager Amundi made an interesting observation on LinkedIn last week saying that :

1 month, 2 weeks agoWhile Nvidia retreats, other AI behemoths are taking up the mantle. The AI juggernaut continues to power ahead.
One of the general market observations is that stocks, even if they are in the same sector, do not peak simultaneously. Some earlier; some later.
